Epress.am asked chairman of Helsinki Association Mikael Danielyan to comment Ruben Sahakyan`s activity.
Talking about Sahakyan Danielyan firstly remembered his announcement made in 90s about attacks on lawyers. He said that he understands when simple citizens are attacked, but they were attacked as lawyers but not as citizens. So, this means that it is quite normal when a person is attacked but not a lawyer. And Ruben Sahakyan later was defending two policemen which bitted and killed 2 non-lawyers.
Danielyan also noted about Rudik Vardanyan`s case when Sahakyan defended two policemen Djaghinyan and Atarbekyan.
They accepted that a person was killed, however, Sahakyan asked to prove whos blow was mortally for Vardanyan. They were judged for misuse of position. They spent several years in prison later were released and became lawyers.
