On May 31st 2011, normal public transport services from the regions to Yerevan have been disrupted: minibuses, buses and taxis are not travelling to Yerevan. According to news sources, public transport problems are connected to technical issues and examination.
According to www.A1plus.am on 28th April 2011 at 8:00, Artashat city police officers visited secretary of Artashat regional office of Armenian National Party Aramayis Barseghyan and urged him not to participate in the demonstration organised by the Armenian National Congress oppostition at 18:00 in Freedom Square in central Yerevan.

On March 17th 2011 around 16:00, the entrance to Freedom Square was closed by police at the Mashtots-Tumanyan crossroads, who stopped a Helsinki Association monitor, Arman Veziryan, as well as other journalists from entering the square, claiming they had been given orders to restrict access. Veziryan asked officers who had given the order, but they refused to answer. Police officers told journalists that people already inside the square area, should they leave the area, would be refused re-entry.
