Disciplinary proceedings against Inessa Petrosyan was quashed

The Board of the Chamber of Advocates quashed disciplinary case N17123 initiated against advocate Inessa Petrosyan.

The judge at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Erebuni and Nubarashen administrative districts of Yerevan had demanded to subject advocate Inessa Petrosyan to liability. Judge Artush Gabrielyan, in an appeal to the Chamber of Advocates, had stated that during the trial of «Sasna Tsrer» criminal case held on September 2 of the previous year, defender Inessa Petrosyan left the courtroom, but before that she had made immoderate statements without the judge's permission and had debated with the court. The judge considered that to be an improper display of the advocate’s behavior.

Meanwhile, Inessa Petrosyan noted that Judge Artush Gabrielyan had forced to silence her, while she wished to express her opinion.

After having returned from the deliberation room, the Board of the Chamber of Advocates announced the decision on quashing disciplinary case N17123, noting that there was no violation of norms of behavior in Innesa Petrosyan's actions.

By the way, a video filming of the hearings was again forbidden
