A. Hakobyan was arrested on June 05, 2009 and was detained for 4 months. He was charged by part 1 of Article 316 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (Violence against the representative of authorities).

The judge decided to restart the claim examination as G. Khachatryan was not informed about the trial properly. On 06.11.2009 the court examined the claim without the applicants; the reason was that A. Hakobyan and his defense attorney were not informed about the trial at all, as the judge to the case “clarified” this in his counseling-room. On 16.11.2009 the Court continued the claim examination at presence of A. Hakobyan and G. Khachatryan (note: A. Hakobyan was not informed about the trial again). The Court granted the petition. The trial will be held on November 20, 2009 at 10:00. Arshaluys Hakobyan is accused of Article 316, part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia (Violence against the authority representative).

According to the information A. Hakobyan was brought to the Police department at 14:30 pm, while the time was mentioned as 13:00 and 14:30 pm in the materials of the criminal case. Besides, the case materials bear the information that A. Hakobyan was subjected to the test of alcohol at 13:59 pm. During the trial A.
